Moderator:

Karl Eckhart, Political Director, NAHB Government Affairs Department, in Washington, D.C.  Mr. Eckhart has been active as a lobbyist and political campaign consultant for over 12 years.  He specializes in overseeing state and local level candidate campaigns and elections and assists local home builders associations with effective advocacy and political endeavors.

 

Speakers:

Chellie Hamecs, Assistant Vice President, NAHB Housing Finance Department, in Washington, D.C.  Ms. Hamecs provides background on NAHB's efforts to address the AD&C lending crisis and latest actions wtih regulators and banking institutions.

 

Kirk Hartley, Sales Manager, Builder/Renovation Division, Bank of America Home Loans, in California.  Mr. Hartley provides the perspective of a representative of a lending institution.  

 

Scott Meyer, Federal Lobbyist, NAHB,  in Washington, D.C.  Mr. Meyer, a specialist on financial services legislation, provides an update on the latest actions by Congress and discusses how to effectively communicate your message to government officials.
